I got pulled over tonight which isn’t really surprising since this week has been absolutely horrible. I’m sorry, but a rolling stop is a bullshit reason to pull someone over. But I can’t complain since I’ve never had a bad cop pull me over in this town and I got a verbal warning. He even joked around with me a bit. I think the cops find it charming that I can never find my registration in my big “organized” folder that I have in my glove compartment.

I just thought about it and since I got my license 7 years ago, I’ve been pulled over for speeding 10 times, rolling stops 2 times, and 1 time for driving over the white line which was actually because Ben wouldn’t put his damn seatbelt on and the cop totally noticed. 

I also thought about the weird things cops have said to me when they’ve let me go. One cop walked halfway to his car with my license & registration, turned around, gave it back, and told me it was too cold outside. Another cop asked me where I worked and when I responded, he told me he liked animals so I could go. A cop in central MA noticed that I had beer in my backseat, asked which kind it was, and told me & Peter that we were in for a good night. The cop tonight told me that it would be a good idea to stop at stop signs if a cop can see me. A cop in New Jersey told me I didn’t have a ticket and then when I went online per his instructions I had a $50 ticket (not complaining though- was doing 80 in a 65). He also was really bad at reading maps & thought a map of the East Coast was just New Jersey and tried to convince us we were wrong so maybe he wasn’t all there.

And I have only ever gotten 3 tickets.

I apologize for how much I rambled in this post. 

Edit: I just remembered another time I was pulled over for an expired inspection sticker and since the car is registered in my grandmother’s name, he laughed and let me go because “old people never notice when they’re expired.” I can’t believe I forgot about that since it’s one of my favourite times I got pulled over. 

So 14 times in 7 years. 

My life is so boring. The highlights of this week:

• I’ve had some really great nights with Peter. He is a constant source of happiness in my life as of late & I’m loving it.
• One of my co-workers had a baby on Sunday and my boss & I are going to visit them tomorrow! I bought her some super adorable outfits and I’m so excited to meet her son. I adore babies. :)
• I got a new rat so Winston can have a friend. I am a bad person and threw them together in Winston’s cage immediately, which is exactly what you’re not supposed to do, but I figured if I had to do it in college then they can manage. 
• I made my appointment to get my hair cut this coming Thursday. It’s going to be scary to do but I think it’ll feel really refreshing. I straighten my hair constantly & I’m really sick of worrying about it so why not? It’ll grow back.
• A fish tank fell on my head Tuesday night at work. Awesome! 
• It’s finally snowing! Hooruh! 

Can’t say I didn’t warn you. I lead a ho-hum kind of life.
